The Fluorescence Sensor – Chlorophyll a is an optical sensor from NKE for measuring chlorophyll a in water. Chlorophyll a measurement is used as an indicator of phytoplankton biomass in natural waters. Chlorophyll is a fluorescent molecule that can be quantified using a fluorimeter. The sensor measures from 0 to 500µg/L with a resolution of 0.03µg/L, using an excitation wavelength of 470 nm and an emission wavelength of 694 nm.
